Anna’s Edit – Spring Jumpsuits

Jumpsuits are one of my favourite items of clothing for SO many reasons.

Firstly, for a Natural style personality like myself, comfort & practicality are key – and jumpsuits have this in spades. Get the right fabric for your body shape and you’re good to go.

Secondly, throw on a jumpsuit first thing, add a couple of accessories and you’re good to go. No worrying about styling different top half options with bottom halves – it’s a complete outfit in one easy hit.

Thirdly, they’re incredibly versatile – change up your footwear and you instantly get a completely different look.

At 5’10 I often find it hard to get a jumpsuit that has the right proportions for my figure, but when I do you can guarantee I’ll wear it LOADS and treasure it for years.

The one I’m wearing here is American Vintage and around four years old. I’ve worn it for night’s out, a wedding, work and now at home in lockdown – it really is THAT versatile.

In this week’s blog I’ve picked three of my favourite jumpsuits available now and given you some ideas for how you can style them both now and once we’re back in the ‘real world’ – enjoy!

The Nora Linen Jumpsuit from Whistles comes in Khaki Green, Navy and Black making it the perfect neutral piece to wear and style in a few different ways.

The fact that its linen also makes it perfect to wear both now and in Summer months when the weather gets warmer.

During lockdown… simply style with your trainers and subtle accessories.

After lockdown... this is the perfect Spring casual office staple. Add wedges, a heeled sandal or ankle boots to smarten up the look for the office. With the navy version in particular you can add some gorgeous colour pops with your accessories to really personalise your outfit.

I’m still on a quest to find the perfect denim jumpsuit and if the proportions had been right on this one I would definitely have bought it (it was too short in the leg for me so tall ladies, skip this section!)

A denim jumpsuit is never going to go out of fashion (alternatively you could try dunagrees if you prefer) and I love the pocket detail and tie waist on this Indigo Denim Zip Boilersuit from Mint Velvet.

During lockdown… flat, chunky sandals or trainers are the perfect pairing for this easy, everyday look.

After lockdown… put on your brightest or highest pair of heels and grab cocktails with the girls – such an effortless but cool look for relaxed social gatherings.

If you’re a bit more of a Dramatic style personality then this leopard print number from Hush will definitely appeal – the perfect way to make a statement, even if nobody else is going to see you.

During lockdown… turn up the hems, roll up the sleeves, pop your collar and add your brightest pair of trainers – this outfit doesn’t need much as it makes a statement all by itself!

After lockdown… do all of the above and this time strut your stuff for all to see!
