M&S Longline Padded Coat, £129
Warm and cosy with the addition of subtle statement sleeves, this coat ticks both the comfort and style boxes. Add a beanie in case of rain and you have the perfect Autumnal outerwear combination.
After doing a mini wardrobe audit to get me organised and prepared for Autumn/Winter I realised I’d been on a bit of stripe spree of late, with no less than three new additions to my wardrobe (take a look at how I’ve styled them here)
As someone who generally prefers block colours, stripes are really the only pattern I have in my wardrobe. For me, their timeless simplicity and huge versatility mean I come back to them time and time again. Not only that, but as a Pear body shape, wearing stripes on my top half does wonders for balancing my proportions and drawing attention upwards (which is where I like the focus to be!)
If you too love a stripe, or would love to add some stripes into your wardrobe this season I thought I’d include a few things to consider and link a few pieces I’m loving this season….

The colour and the collar have completely sold this too me – super chic whilst keeping super cosy, yes, yes and yes again.
This camel shade is such a versatile neutral and works particularly well if you have a warm undertone – beautiful combined with Autumn’s rich tones of reds, greens and browns or lightened with soft white.
No quilted coat edit would be complete without mentioning Barbour. Whether it’s longline or hip length, a gillet or a four-wheel-drive/any weather coat, Barbour are the brand for durability and quality.
If your lifestyle is such that you’re outdoors a lot during Autumn/Winter and you want to invest in something that will stand the test of time then Barbour is the place to go.
As well as doing the more classic pieces I’m also loving the addition of some bright, bold colours this season.
